Let’s build Mar~Marionetas’ collective photo album. We have a link for you to share your photos from the Festival!

We thought about how we could share a collective emotional memory with one another. Creating this album seemed like a great idea! Turning 20 means becoming an adult, but it also means being at the beginning of life, and that’s how we see this Festival. We have photos from the early years and our first achievements. We envision the Festival as someone who is 20 years old, full of energy, making life a radical act. At 20, anything is possible; we feel invincible. Perhaps there aren’t many memories from 20 years ago, but we are already adults and have made important choices that will shape our lives.

We have the courage to change the world that lies ahead; we’ve already traveled many academic and athletic paths, made great friendships, attended major festivals, and danced a lot. We feel that our life is just beginning, and everything that lies ahead can be incredible and wonderful—and we’ll embrace it as a great life challenge. At 20, we’ve already experienced great passions, great disappointments, and many loves; we’ve pushed our bodies to the limit, only for them to recover from yesterday’s exhaustion. Nothing fuels today’s energy like this, and it’s so good to be 20.
